This service is for any original GameBoy Pocket System. This does not include any other variant of GameBoy System. This is NOT a new screen. This is just the glass lens that goes on top of the screen.
We will replace the glass lens on your system with a new replica one. The color of the lens may vary, but it will most likely be black or dark gray.
We aim to finish all services within 5-7 business days of us receiving your items. During busy times for us, you might expect it to take up to 2 weeks for completion. Transit times not included.

In your package, please include a piece of paper with your order number. This should be in your order confirmation email. DO NOT INCLUDE ANY CABLES/ACCESSORIES/ETC. We just need the system/controller.
If you are ordering other services from us, you are welcome to ship them in the same package to us. If you order other items in the same checkout as a repair service, those items will not ship until the service(s) are complete.
Repair Terms & Disclaimers:
We do a basic functionality check before service. If your item doesn't power on or perform its core function, we won't proceed—unless the service is meant to fix that issue.
If we find minor problems, we'll contact you. No reply within 24 hours? We'll move forward with the original service at our discretion.
For any system or controller that we do not proceed with service on, we will issue a full refund minus a $10 bench fee. Please test your items before sending them to avoid this.
After service, we re-test functionality. If anything we touched isn't working, we'll fix it.
All services come with a 100-day warranty on the parts and work we did. Damage, wear, or unrelated issues aren't covered.
📦 Mail-in orders: We're not responsible for shipping damage—please pack with care!

- Pre-owned games and home video products include a 100-Day Warranty against defects.
- Pre-owned consoles and accessories include a 30-Day Warranty against defects.
If you experience any issues, contact us at support@retroislandny.com — we’ll work to troubleshoot, repair, or exchange your item. If none of those options are possible, store credit will be issued.
Returns for reasons other than defectiveness are only accepted within 10 days of purchase. No cash refunds under any circumstance. Customers are responsible for return shipping if the return is for any reason other than a defect.
