Used Video Games Warranty & Return Policy

All used games are backed by a 100-Day Warranty. If your game stops working at any point within 100 days of delivery, we’ll either troubleshoot the issue or offer you store credit as an exchange. For returns that are not related to functionality (such as buyer’s remorse), you have 10 days from the date of receipt to request a return.


Used Systems & Accessories Warranty & Return Policy

All used video game systems and accessories include a 30-Day Warranty. If your item becomes defective within 30 days of delivery, we’ll troubleshoot or exchange it for store credit. For returns that are not related to functionality (such as buyer’s remorse), you have 10 days from the date of receipt to request a return.


Return Process

If you're returning an item due to a functionality issue covered under warranty, we’ll provide a prepaid return shipping label and clear instructions on how to send it back.

If the return is for a different reason (such as changing your mind), you will be responsible for the cost of return shipping. To start a return, please follow the instructions listed below.

Returns sent without prior approval will not be accepted.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be in the same condition that you received it. You’ll also need the receipt or proof of purchase. You will be reimbursed for the original purchase price in the form of a store credit. We do not offer cash refunds unless otherwise stated. We will not reimburse the initial shipping cost of an item.

 

Exceptions / non-returnable items
Unfortunately, we cannot accept returns on the following items:

  • Sale Items
  • Gift cards
  • Sealed Games
  • Sealed Products
  • Plushies
  • Pokémon Cards
  • "Final Sale" Items

Warranty Items

Systems sold under warranty must have Serial Number in tact for valid warranty claim.

To Return In-Store:

  1. Bring the item(s) you wish to return in the condition in which you bought them.
  2. Be prepared to present a printed, email, or text receipt.
  3. If the return is accepted, the customer will receive trade-in credit for the value of the item.

To Start a Return Online:

  1. Retrieve the order number for the item(s) you wish to return. Find your order number in one of the following locations:
  2. Send an email to support@retroislandny.com with your order number and list of the item(s) you wish to return.
  3. Expect an email from support@retroislandny.com with further instructions.

Damages and issues
Please inspect your order upon reception and contact us immediately if the item is defective, damaged or if you receive the wrong item, so that we can evaluate the issue and make it right.


Exchanges
The fastest way to ensure you get what you want is to return the item you have, and once the return is accepted, make a separate purchase for the new item.


European Union 14 day cooling off period
Notwithstanding the above, if the merchandise is being shipped into the European Union, you have the right to cancel or return your order within 14 days, for any reason and without a justification. As above, your item must be in the same condition that you received it, unworn or unused, with tags, and in its original packaging.


Refunds
We will notify you once we’ve received and inspected your return, and let you know if the return was approved or not. If approved, you’ll be automatically refunded in the form of a store credit to your email. We do not issue cash refunds.
