Forge a kinship with beasts in the vibrant RPG adventure Monster Hunter Stories for the Nintendo 3DS. Unlike the traditional action-focused main series, this turn-based spin-off casts you as a "Rider" rather than a Hunter. Using the power of the Kinship Stone, you steal eggs from monster nests, hatch them, and raise the "Monsties" to fight by your side. You can ride iconic monsters like Rathalos and Tigrex to explore the vast world, using their unique abilities to fly, swim, or smash obstacles. The combat system relies on a strategic Rock-Paper-Scissors mechanic where reading your opponent's patterns is key. Embark on a colorful journey to stop the Black Blight and prove that bonds are stronger than blades.
