PlayStation 2 Slim Laser Replacement Service

This service is for any North American or Japanese PlayStation 2 Slim Console. At this time we are NOT providing this service for the original PlayStation 2 Fat or PAL models.

We aim to finish all services within 5-7 business days of us receiving your items. During busy times for us, you might expect it to take up to 2 weeks for completion. Transit times not included.

In your package, please include a piece of paper with your order number. This should be in your order confirmation email. DO NOT INCLUDE ANY CABLES/ACCESSORIES/ETC. We just need the system/controller.

If you are ordering other services from us, you are welcome to ship them in the same package to us. If you order other items in the same checkout as a repair service, those items will not ship until the service(s) are complete.

Repair Terms & Disclaimers:

We do a basic functionality check before service. If your item doesn't power on or perform its core function, we won't proceed—unless the service is meant to fix that issue.

If we find minor problems, we'll contact you. No reply within 24 hours? We'll move forward with the original service at our discretion.

For any system or controller that we do not proceed with service on, we will issue a full refund minus a $10 bench fee. Please test your items before sending them to avoid this.

After service, we re-test functionality. If anything we touched isn't working, we'll fix it.

All services come with a 100-day warranty on the parts and work we did. Damage, wear, or unrelated issues aren't covered.

  • Pre-owned Games & Media: 100-Day Warranty
  • Pre-owned Consoles & Accessories: 30-Day Warranty

If your item isn't working like it should, email support@retroislandny.com! We will happily troubleshoot, repair, or exchange the item for you. If those aren't possible, you will receive store credit.

Please Note: We do not offer cash refunds or accept returns for buyer's remorse. If an item is sent back under a warranty claim but our team tests it and finds it to be fully functional, you will be responsible for the shipping costs to have the item returned to you.
