Our two-step process brings your console back to life:

Deep Ultrasonic Cleaning: First, your console's shell is fully disassembled and submerged in our ultrasonic cleaner. High-frequency waves remove decades of embedded dust and grime from every crevice, preparing it for restoration.

RetroBrighting: Next, we use our controlled RetroBrighting process to reverse the chemical reaction that causes yellowing. This technique safely restores the plastic to its original factory color, providing even results without harming logos or textures.
The result is a console that looks and feels dramatically better.

Scope of Service: Our service is strictly cosmetic. We restore the external shell and do not test, repair, or accept liability for the internal electronics or functional condition of the console.

Results & Longevity: RetroBrighting is a powerful restoration process, but results can vary based on the plastic's original condition. While the outcome is almost always a vast improvement, a perfect "factory new" finish cannot be guaranteed. Furthermore, while we work carefully, the restoration process involves liquids and may impact the condition of original factory stickers (paper, vinyl, or foil). We cannot guarantee their preservation. To maintain the restored color, we strongly recommend keeping the console away from direct sunlight and UV light sources.
We aim to finish all services within 5-7 business days of us receiving your items. During busy times for us, you might expect it to take up to 2 weeks for completion. Transit times not included.

- Pre-owned consoles and accessories include a 30-Day Warranty against defects.
If you experience any issues, contact us at support@retroislandny.com — we’ll work to troubleshoot, repair, or exchange your item. If none of those options are possible, store credit will be issued.
Returns for reasons other than defectiveness are only accepted within 10 days of purchase. No cash refunds under any circumstance. Customers are responsible for return shipping if the return is for any reason other than a defect.
