Defend your mothership from alien swarms in the classic arcade shooter Vanguard for the Atari 2600. Pilot your spacecraft through four distinct, directionally scrolling tunnel segments, each with unique enemy patterns and hazards. Shoot down alien fighters, manage your limited fuel supply by destroying specific targets, and try to reach the City of Mystery to confront the final boss, Gond. While simplified for the Atari hardware, Vanguard was an ambitious title that offered multi-directional scrolling and varied gameplay, providing a challenging retro space combat experience.
