Lara Croft returns for a darker, more complex adventure in Tomb Raider: The Angel of Darkness for the Playstation 2. Framed for the murder of her former mentor, Werner Von Croy, Lara becomes a fugitive, hunted by the Parisian police and entangled in a sinister plot involving ancient artifacts and a secret alchemic society. This action-adventure title introduces new gameplay elements, including stealth mechanics, character interaction with dialogue choices, and upgradable abilities. With its mature storyline and atmospheric European locations, Angel of Darkness offers a distinct and often controversial chapter in Lara's saga.
