Power up your ship and prepare for an intense arcade-style challenge with Super R-Type for the Super Nintendo. This classic side-scrolling shoot-'em-up pits your advanced R-9C starfighter against the overwhelming forces of the evil Bydo Empire. Your key to survival is the "Force," a detachable and indestructible pod that can be attached to the front or rear of your ship or deployed as an independent weapon. Master its use and collect powerful laser upgrades to blast your way through seven incredibly detailed and demanding 16-bit stages. This is a must-play for fans of hardcore, old-school shmups.
