Outsmart enemies and collect gold in Lode Runner for the NES. In this classic puzzle-platformer, you play as a runner who must gather all the gold piles in a level to open the escape ladder. Armed only with a blaster that dissolves bricks in the floor, you must trap pursuing guards in holes or create your own paths to reach inaccessible areas. The holes eventually fill back up, adding a layer of timing and tension to your strategy. The game also features a robust level editor, allowing you to design and play your own custom stages. Lode Runner is a timeless test of logic and reflexes.
