Embark on a charming, old-school adventure with Final Fantasy: The 4 Heroes of Light for the Nintendo DS. This role-playing game serves as a spiritual throwback to the classic 8-bit era, featuring a distinct storybook art style and a focus on traditional turn-based combat. You follow Brandt and his companions on a journey to save a princess and the world. The game introduces the unique "Crown System," which acts as a job system; equipping different hats changes a character's class and abilities instantly. With a streamlined "Action Point" battle mechanic and a whimsical atmosphere, this title lays the groundwork for the gameplay style later perfected in the Bravely Default series.
