Experience a challenging fantasy epic in Beyond the Beyond for the PlayStation. Developed by Camelot, this traditional JRPG is known for its high difficulty and frequent random encounters. You play as Annie, a young swordsman who must stop an ancient evil from breaking its seal. The game introduces the "Active Playing System," which requires you to rhythmically mash buttons during turn-based combat to increase your defense or land critical hits. With its beautiful 2D sprite work, rotatable 3D battle camera, and punishing gameplay, it is a true test of endurance for RPG purists.
