Take to the skies and change the course of history in 1943: The Battle of Midway for the NES. In this classic Capcom vertical shooter, you pilot a P-38 Lightning fighter plane against the entire Japanese naval fleet. Unlike its predecessor, this sequel introduces a health bar and a fuel system, adding a layer of strategy to the frantic dogfighting. Blast through waves of enemy aircraft and massive boss battleships, collecting power-ups to upgrade your weaponry with lasers, shotguns, and auto-fire. With its cooperative two-player mode and "Loop-the-Loop" evasive maneuver, 1943 offers an exhilarating and challenging shoot-'em-up experience.
